Hello from sunny St George Utah (about 90 minutes north of Las Vegas, on the Arizona/Utah border). We're new to the area after spending our lives in beautiful Colorado, but have been vacationing in southern Utah for over 20 years. New house, new area, and new pool. We have limited space so pool is going in the side-yard, a 14'x30' fiberglass rectangle with an 8'x10' raised spa next to it. Will just fit. Our lot sits about 25-30' above the homes below us so we get some wonderful western & northern views. Pool shell is in production now, we expect to be in the water by April. Working with a great PB (have inspected some of their work and are pleased).
A friend of mine asked me if I've found a "pool guy" yet, and I told him "you're looking at him." At the time I figured you hired a pool guy like you hire someone to mow your lawn; when you're too busy to do it yourself. I obsessively research everything, and after weeks of learning I understand now that water chemistry is a bit more complicated than lawn mowing.
But I am still excited to maintain my own pool and am thrilled at the knowledge this group has put together. Nice work!
I look forward to sharing some photos of our progress and participating in the community here.
Here is a sunset view from the backyard. We love it here.
