Found this site while researching — what a great community!
A little about us and our situation: we own a home in Reisterstown surrounded by trees, and well/septic system. Our pool options are extremely limited considering the surrounding trees, and septic system/leach field. We have raised land area (higher level than our home) across our driveway, in front of our home, but I believe Baltimore County has regulations against building a pool in the front yard. I don't consider this area to be our front yard - but I think the County will, and they are pretty strict. On top of this, we would need to clear a large amount of trees. Other areas are north side of home but its too wet and no sun, and the ground would need to be built up. East side of home is greatly affected by surrounding trees, not to mention the limited sun exposure only in mornings as the sun is traveling. South West side of home would be awesome…….. if only it weren’t for the nearby leach field /perc testing area, and a standing utility pole which we would need to have buried
Only other option with a clear large amount of land is at the top of our long driveway, North West, but then our neighbors home is directly across the road and I’m just not keen on that idea. Huge sighs!!
Anyway, I came here for ideas and possible solutions. Found some great future information already too! Again, very nice community
