Hello,

Glad to get on board. I'm currently having a pool built in my back yard. I was surprised to find that the Corona Virus has been good for the pool builders, at least tha's what my builder is saying--people are staying home more and making their homes more livable--although, a long time roofer was telling me that his business collapsed soon after the pandemic began.

I am a retired mechanical engineer with some background in pumps, valves, and fluid dynamics--areas that could be useful for a pool owner, I hope.

So far the PB has finished excavation, concrete, and plumbing. Next up is electrical, then tile work. The build seems to going along OK (except the time they knocked over my mailbox while backing a backhoe trailer), It should be finished before the summer swimming season.

Well, I've been doing a lot of research (including reading posts in TFP) into what it takes to operate a pool and it is very interesting. I like it much more now that I'm learning more about it.
