Good evening! New to this site and just wanted to say hello. I've been caring for a pool for a dozen years and it seems every summer is slightly or greatly different. Had several stable summers in a row and now this year have had a lot of rain (20+ inches) and am struggling with ph levels, which affects how much chlorine I am burning. Have also been gone a lot and that hasn't helped either. Pool is presently very cloudy. :( I stocked up on chemicals today and will be tackling it bright and early tomorrow.

Over the years I have learned owning a pool is an ongoing chemistry experiment. There is still much to learn.

Welcome to the forum.

While there is a small relationship, pH has little to do with chlorine consumption. read "The ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry" up in Pool School. That'll probably trigger several questions so please ask. We're glad you are here.

Indeed, good to have you aboard!

We will show you how to take al the guesswork out of the equation for sure. A little knowledge and testing on your own, and it won't be an experiment ever again.
