New fiberglass pool owner. It's been a month since installed and have been using it almost daily. I have learned a lot here, more than during pool school.
I am not planning on closing the pool so I will def be asking questions like should I keep my heater on above 50 degrees so the SWG system works or should I use pucks or liquid chlorine during the colder fall and winter months? I also noticed some tiny particles like dandelions floating and some just passing by the skimmer. While researching this site I learned about the need to have a weir door. I checked the skimmer and noticed the PB didn't put one in. I called and was told I don't need one. I told them I really do need one so they will be sending one. Hope that fixes the skimming.
Anyway, thanks for the chance to ask questions.

Heater off and switch to liquid when the water temps fall below 60.

Yes, definitely need a skimmer weir door/flap. And also ensure you are using a skimmer sock in that basket to catch fine debris. :)
