Hi there. I have been an admirer of TFP for many years. This year I decided to actually sign up to the forum. I have an 18x36 oval inground pool with a sand filter and SWG. I have owned the pool since 2003 but have never mastered it. I hope to learn lots!

Just add Central Arkansas in there and you're good! Looking forward to helping you manage a trouble free pool! Also add your test kit as well once you get one. I recommend the TF-100.

Hey there Greg I have a simple pool like yours. Sand filter is so easy to care for, and the SWG makes chemistry easier too.

Can you tell us any problems you're having? I'd suggest sitting back with a glass of adult bev and reading leisurely thru some Pool School lessons (found at left). Perhaps starting with the ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry:
