I used to live in Houston, when I was a student at Rice, and I can definitely say that you absolutely need a pool there. I never spent an entire summer there - Rice did not have summer school, and I only stayed one June in Houston. I loved living in Houston, but a pool is a necessity most of the year. My big concern there would be drainage. I was in a large flood there in June 1976.
