At what temp do you turn your heat pump on for the spring? I don't know if it's just because this is the first spring I've owned a pool but it seems like this has been a very chilly spring. I'm hoping these next few days will be the last cold spell before warming up for good. I've been hesitant to turn the heat pump on because I keep checking the 10 day forecast and it's been nothing but high's in the 60's.

Using a heat pump below 60 degrees brings the efficiency way down. Those babies us 7+ kw every hour they run. I don’t turn mine on until ambient temp is 60+

as soon as ambient temperature is sufficient to allow it to run. 55 or so
