Hayward SP2610X15 dead

Hello, pool gurus,
Just now opening my pool, it's been unseasonably rainy and cool in the mid-Atlantic this year. Got everything hooked up as per normal, flipped the switch to start the pump and it just hums for a few seconds then cuts off. No water flow. It's not tripping the breaker in the panel but resetting the breaker enables the hum and cut-off cycle again. I was getting a small amount of leakage presumably around the impeller shaft/gasket last year. I'm guessing it rusted over the winter and the motor is seized. Pump is a Hayward SP2610X15 1.5HP and was installed new in 2014. Your thoughts?
TIA for any insights.

Okay, I decided to just bite the bullet and buy a new pump. I ordered the W3SP2610X15 from Amazon. What's the difference between the W3 and the SP2610X15 I currently have? I did a side-by-side comparison on the Hayward website and they seem to be identical.

Mine was doing the same thing. The impeller wasn’t jammed and rotated freely, so I replaced the startup capacitor. Now it starts right up. 👍

It was easy to do and cost less than $7. 😀
