Hayward skimmer doesn’t fit Intex intake hose

Hi, I just bought a Hayward SP1091WM above ground pool skimmer and I’m about to use one of the intake hoses coming out of my Intex Ultra Frame pool to connect to the skimmer and the Hayward hose connector is bigger than the Intex hose coming out of my pool.

is there a trick to this or do I need an additional part? I have a bunch of old parts from previous Intex pools but can’t seem to find something that will step down the hose size. Thanks!

To clarify, the the Hayward skimmer output hose connector is larger than the input hose connector on my Intex 633T filter. Any suggestions?

Get a reduced adapter. Here's a page on Amazon with a whole bunch of them.

This is probably exactly what you need.
