Hayward Pump noise

First power up of the year and there's noise coming from the pump/motor. Initially I thought it was bearings until I stethoscoped it and the noise is definitely coming from the pump/impeller area. It's pumping good with good pressures. Does it sound like something is lodged into the impeller area?

Certainly can't hurt to check. Before doing so however, make sure power is cut from that pump, either unplugged or circuit breaker flipped-off. Safety first. From there you should be able to reach into the throat of the pump and move the impeller with your finger tips. If something's wrapped-up on that thing, you should be able to feel it. If it feels clear, you may still be looking at opening it up to inspect it more closely. Good luck!
