Hayward Pro series model S166T cover handle broke.

I have a Hayward Pro series model S166T with key cover handle assembly spx0714ba. My handle broke and i will have to order a new one soon but has anyone ever retrofitted something to work temporarily? The handle broke at the neck so i can not get leverage to currently do a backwash.

You might be able to get a grip on what's left with some vice grips to lift up & turn and get the key into the correct position (i.e. Filter, Recirc, etc) until you can get it replaced.
