Hayward Colorlogic lights replacement.

I have a pool with 2 Hayward colorlogic lights which lasted less than 2 years.
This seems to be a common issue with that product.

At about $300 each, I am wondering if a better brand of light will retro-fit in to the existing mounting.
Also, is there a special tool needed to remove the old lights?
I have little experience with these.

Thanks, Bill

I'm in the same boat. I have 3 Hayward Colorlogic lights and 2 have recently failed. I'm trying to decide if I should go with Pentiar F5 Intellibrite which have replacable LED panels (The replacement panels are expensive) vs. a normal light bulb fixture with LED color screw in lights which are easier to replace in the future. Anyone have any advice?

To answer your previous question bout removing the lights, you have to disconnect the cable and tape / tie a cord to the cable at your control box and pull the cable all the way out. Tape / tie the new cable for the new light and pull it back to your control box from the pool side. Check out Youtube. I bet that there are videos for this.
