Guys Im still learning and I did so much reading on pool chemistry and swg that my head is spinning.

I finished my Hayward Aqua Rite 15 install today. I would like to know if my swg should be set to Auto all the time and should my pump run 24/7 with my swg ? ( can swg be on auto with my pump off ) ???

Thank you for all your help guys !

The SWG should only be powered when the pump is running.

No need to run the pump 24/7. With a SWG, you should only need to run the pump long enough to allow the SWG to produce enough chlorine.

The SWG should be left on "Auto".

thank you for your reply.
How do you wire that than ?
Any recommendation how to connect them together with pump so they work at the same time on schedule ?
which timer would work best with my pump and swg ?
( I have Hayward CC15093S Xstream Full-Flo 150-Square-Foot 1.5 Horsepower Filtration Filter pump and AquaRite 15)

There is a plug on bottom of SWG that pump plugs into. Then use the timer to set pump run time.Set it on auto. When you need to run pump just turn it to on.The Flow switch will cut Swg off when pump is not running

That doesn't apply to his situation.

You power the SWG from the same source as the pump.

The SWG gets powered at the load side of the last switch going to the pump.

You can use any timer suitable for your pump voltage and amperage rating.

Is your pump 115 or 230 volts?

I don't see any plug on my cell or aqua rite box.

my pump is 110 and I know that my Raypak 200k BTUs and sgw can be switch to 110 also. Is there any outdoor switch-timer that I can get both connected and control by it ?
