Good morning - I am having some issues getting my pool exactly where I want it and was hoping someone here could help.
I have a 18x38 chlorine pool with a 9.5 deep end. Vinyl liner.
On the recommendations of the page from last year I have recently installed a Pentair Intelliflo pump as well as a Dolphin Nautilus cc Plus - I am loving both and as I get to know how to better use them efficiently I expect I will love them even more.

Currently my levels are as follows: ( I am using a Taylor test kit)
FC - 4
CC - >1
CYA - > 30 (my test tube only goes as low as 30)
Alkalinity - 150
Ph - 7.8

Not sure how to proceed. As a side note - currently my water is crystal clear and I just finished a SLAM on Monday am. Can I expect these to level out a bit since it has been Slammed recently??
Thanks for the help

W,

Is your CC really more than one???

I am not sure what you mean by "Level" out?

Did you pass all three requirements of the SLAM.. see this link... SLAM Process

If your SLAM is complete, you have done the hard part... now you just need to keep your FC in the correct relationship with your CYA level.. See this chart.. [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]

I would raise my CYA to 40, just to be sure it is not below 30...

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.

Clear Water, CC<1, and passed OCLT. Looks like you are where you need to be, though your TA looks to be a bit high, which is making your ebb toward the higher mark of normal. Using Pool math, I'd also probably bump CYA to 40 and maintain FC at 5 or 6.

edit: I misread...If your CC > 1, your SLAM is not yet over. Be that as it may, I'd still lower TA before bumping FC to SLAM levels and continue until CC<=1.
