Hey all,
First time hitting the boards. I’m having a chloramine problem I believe and I’m looking for advice. I tested my water with the tf-pro kit and these are my results:

FCL : 1.5
CC: 4.5
PH: 7.2
ALK: 120
CYA: 45

I tried shocking the pool last night with a gallon of liquid chlorine but actually raised my CC from 1.5 to the above mentioned 4.5. Can I SLAM this to get back to 0? Thanks for any help you can give. Have an awesome weekend!!

Thanks everyone, so before I start the SLAM process I’ve got a question. My father in law and I take care of the pool and I know he is going to ask whether adding that much chlorine is going to hurt the pool equipment and vinyl liner (it’s an old pool) and whether you can swim in it with elevated levels of chlorine. Right now the pool is crystal clear. Thanks again for any advice.
