Handling Algae at Take Down

Hi. I have one of the Intex EasySet pools (like this: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/...ool-18itxu18x48systplswe/18itxu18x48systplswe). We got algae a few weeks ago... to the point where the water looked green. Tried to recover, but couldn't get there. We're now looking at taking it down for the season soon. We do not have a pool vacuum.

My question: What's the best way to get rid of the algae while taking the pool down? I don't want to have algae stains, residue, etc. when starting up the pool again next year.

Welcome to TFP.

Give everything a through cleaning with a chlorine solution and stiff brush before packing away.

We do have a brush. It's a thin brush that's curved with a long-ish handle on it.

So, maybe something like this? → Drain it out until there's like 1 ft. or less of water, then put a good amount of bleach in and scrub a dub dub. My only thing with that is getting the dead algae actually out of the pool.
