Halogen w LED bulb or replace with LED?

My pool is, by my guess, built in 2003/2004 and is due for a resurface/reno.

I have 4 lights (2 pool, 1 spa, 1+1 fountain), and only 1 works - which seems was a recent replacement as it is not the same brand as the others. I pulled the second pool light and it;s a Pentair IntelliBrite. Pentair has this Color LED Replacement Lamp for Amerlite

Do I replace with a new led, or keep the existing since it's tried and true? There were a few posts recently that were directed to another major brand that had bad reviews and questionable design to keep the lamp sealed.

When I reno, do I replace with LED or stay with what I have?

My 2 cents- When our pool was built all the builders wanted to upsell me on all kinds of specialty LED lighting - at that time the small Savi lights were popular - fortunately we had owned a pool before and I declined (which is a good thing because I've since heard of the Savi having a high failure rate). I had traditional niches and fixtures installed with Edison socket halogen bulbs, the cheapest option, but I got more lights where I wanted them for less. Before the pool even filled I pulled all the fixtures out, and swapped in color changing 3G color splash bulbs (1 large and 2 small). Those lasted ~ 6.5 years with several hours per night usage year round and lots of thunderstorms in our area - last fall our large one lost the blue led driver. Rather than replace it with another 3G (they were $4-500 when I first bought them - $2-300 now) I went with a white led bulb off amazon for $75 -I LOVE IT - its 2-3x brighter than the 3G (which we only ever used on white or blue/white because the other colors were just too dark) - this new one is almost too bright - we have aqua blue pebbletec and the white makes it a nice blue. My point being there are lots of replacement led bulbs for traditional sockets - unless you just really want the color changing (and I do still use it in our spa) stick with white led in a traditional fixture. Our little 3Gs are still going strong, although the small one by our steps is now overwhelmed by the new white LED.

EDIT: it's $90 now
