Grip tape for Pool ladder steps--Suggestions

Hi. The gray rubber non-slip gripper on my stainless steel pool ladder steps have come off all 3 steps. Those are discontinued, cant find anywhere except the full step which is almost $100 each. While researching I came across gripper tape. Anyone use gripper tape for their pool ladder? Any suggestions on what I can use , it would be placed on stainless steel. Below is pic of what I have. Thx in advance.

There's a zillion grip tape options on Amazon. I'd look at a silicon backed grip tape, but I suspect you'd get months, if not more, of use between need for replacement.
