Pool construction delays and dealing with a scam artist have caused this post. I referenced this website a lot before our construction started and find all the information extremely helpful. Just want to say buyers beware of not having timelines in your contracts. My sister said and sent a link about front loading (that it’s illegal in CA to ask for excessive deposits) Does anyone know if there are laws in CT for this? We paid a hefty 65 percent deposit to landscape architect for our pool and the project did not commence until 11 months later.
