My hubbie jumped the gun and filled the pool prior to me having a chance to buy metal remover (we have very high iron in our water). In the past, we have been told by the pool store we can’t chlorinate until we run a bottle of metal remover. Is this true, or can i start, and then add the MR when it arrives.

The problem is if you add chlorine you may have the water turn a rusty brown. That can filter out but it takes a while. Get a bucket of pool water and add 1/2 cup of bleach to it and swish it around. Check it in an hour and see if the water has changed colors.
