What do people do if they can't monitor the FC level for an extended period of time, say for work or sleep?

Unless you can have somebody monitor it there's not a whole lot you can do. Take the FC level a couple of ticks higher than the SLAM level and do the best you can. How much FC are you losing when you test it and how often are you testing ? ?

I've posted my tests along the way, losing around 1 per hour so far. I'm thinking along the lines of sleeping tonight, should I raise the fc a little higher to allow for it to fall when the sun hits it before I get back at it?

Alright I have the option of using my last test now and adding bleach accordingly, or assuming I'm somewhere close to above slam level (likely due to today's tests and the fact that it's the middle of the night) and adding enough to carry me until 10/11 AM...

Sounds good, I'm going to guinea pig myself for the good of pool science and add 1 bottle to ballpark a FC of 20. I'll test in the morning and see how it turns out. Cross your fingers that I get a package from tftestkits.net tomorrow!

The sun won't destroy any CC, so expect it to read high. The Fc is anyone's guess.

I've been getting low CC numbers so far but I imagine it is going to do some work on the algae tonight with no sun

I'll ask since your here, in my shoes, would you think 20 high enough to leave it til mid morning?

It's improving! Scrub that ladder really good. Under the rungs is a favorite hiding place for algae.
