Green monster rears its ugly head - so when to do the sand deep cleaning?

Yes, I know, before now! That came up quickly! Happy springtime everybody. In two and a half days, my pool greened up. teed to SLAM. So would it be better to get the pool cleaned out and then do the sand? ThankS!

A dirty sand filter will catch more debris unless it has major channels from years of not cleaning it... so if you deep cleaned it last year, do your SLAM then deep clean it after your done
