Green Algae w/Acceptable Chlorine Levels??

Hello all, seeking advice on what could be causing this. Just went out to add chlorine and noticed that there was what appeared to be green algae. I brushed that area of the pool clean and immediately tested chlorine using DPD and got a 5ppm as is expected.

I bumped CYA to 50, 2 months ago and after testing chlorine consistently and getting usage of 3ppm/day, I began to blind add 3ppm Chlorine per day to keep levels between 8 and 5. The pump is running 24/7 and there is very little organic matter (leaves, sticks, etc.) in the pool.

Anyhow, should I be worried about what appeared to be algae? Is it possible to have algae but remain within the acceptable range of Chlorine throughout the day? Any assistance is appreciated.
