Google Mesh and ScreenLogic Issues

Has anyone had success establishing communication for the Screenlogic Protocol Interface Adaptor on a Google (Mesh) wifi system? I know my adaptor works as I have attached it to my neighbors generic wifi network and had success connecting but on my home mesh no luck. I can see the adaptor (Mac address & IP) and have tried port forwarding with no luck. Anybody have the secret sauce?
 
A little more context. I opened a port range of 1-9999 (get them all) and I statically assigned an IP address to the adaptor. Rebooted multiple times, did the 3-click reset thingy numerous times, drank a few beers to calm my frustrations, then posted here. Any guidance and/or expertise from this community would be greatly appreciated! Ugh! Certainly someone has gotten this to work?
