Hello, I need to increase my CH, and I was wondering what the best source for Calcium Chloride is that is sure to be pure enough for pool water.

Does anyone have a good product to recommend at a good price? I prefer from a place like Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot, or online retailer if possible.

Thank you so much!

Calcium chloride de-icer is available from hardware/big box stores in 50 lb bags for cheap. Some of the common names and descriptions are listed here, Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals
Not in Tucson it ain't :)

I just spent $13 on 5 lbs for the pool were apparently in that link above I could have gotten 25 lb for the same price

Yeah, me either! For folks like us where they don't typically stock deicer you can usually go online at Lowe's, and probably others, and order something with free shipping to the nearest store and go pick it up. Which is handy when shipping a 50lb sack of something.

Well, 30 hours after I added the 5 pounds of Clorox Hardness Increaser ... I have only seen about half the expected rise in CH ... seemed to dissolved nearly instantly, so expected to see the full rise.
