We're going away for a week, what do I need to do with the pool chemistry before we leave? pH runs consistently high and I add MA almost every day. Other numbers seem to be in line. Anything special I should do before we're gone for a week? I really don't want to come back to a scum pond.

The SWG should do most of the work for you. Lower that pH before you step out. It will be fine.

If you have a trusted friend or neighbor, sometimes it's good to have someone swing by once in a while to check the skimmer and such, but if that's not possible, just let it run itself.
I have an SWG. When I go on vacation I always add at least one jug of liquid chlorine. Raise the FC higher than needed. Not going to hurt having it higher than needed. I also raise the % on the SWG. For me here in Houston when it rains IT RAINS. I always add extra salt before I go as well. One time I had the SWG PPM go down 600 ppm due to excessive rain dropping the level to 2800 ppm. Low levels can hamper the SWG.
