Glacier Cooler - Sprinklers not rotating

Hi guys - long time lurker and first time poster. Thanks for the wealth of information.

I have a Glacier Cooler 210 and recently the head stopped rotating the sprinkler wands. I know these can be somewhat finnicky to set up, but none of my equipment has changed recently and the valves weren't adjusted prior to the issue arising.

Water still flows freely from the sprinkler wands, so I don't think there's a clog. I also opened the intake valve fully and there's still no rotation. I assume that the head is somehow bad, but has anyone else encountered this issue? I have ordered a new head from the manufacturer, but it kind of seems like it went into a black hole and their website warns shipping could take 2-3 weeks (and I'm probably not high priority for a $60 part).

I'm guessing maybe there's some type of bushing between the rotating and fixed portion of the head that has disintegrated, but I need to take it apart to see. Kids have a pool party in a week and I'd love it if I could somehow limp it along until then/the replacement arrives. Thanks for your help!

A few thoughts

Can you spin the wand freely by hand or is there a lot of friction?

Are the wands turned so that the water is coming from the sides to propel the head to turn?

What happens when you increase the water flow to the glacier?
