Hello. Found this site getting prepared to do a resurface on our pool. I'm guessing around 10000 gallons volleyball (deep in middle and shallow on both ends). Currently has stained white plaster that is delaminating in spots. We're unsure how old it is, other than the 5.5 years we have been owners. We are looking at replacing that with NPT StoneScapes Caribbean Blue and NTP Orion Peacock tile. I'm looking forward to learning more about how to properly care for it, especially in the first month.

As an introductory question, we've had split quotes on builders wanting to do a full demo of the existing plaster, or only chipping out delaminated sections and building on top existing material. I feel like I should prefer a full demo, to ensure there will be no issues with the existing plaster? Or am I just adding cost for no benefit?

Well just got a text that our tile order was apparently grabbed by someone else cash-in-hand. So I guess we're not doing the NPT Orion Peacock!
