Gap / open cavity upper inside portion of skimmer

Just noticed while swimming yesterday a 1/2 gap on the upper inside corner of our skimmer.. pool was finished in late 2021.

• Any recommendations to fill this void just so water does get back there during heavy pool usage etc otherwise water is obviously below it?

Fill it with hydraulic cement? Or would that cause other issues later?

Nope. That may crack the plastic top of the skimmer. Hydraulic cement is made to expand as it cures.
