Full Moon pool light (no lens removal)

The pool light doesn't work and I thought I would change the bulb to see if that was the issue.

The pool light is made by Full Moon and is 20 years old.

When I removed the light the electrical cord was not long enough to place the light on the deck.

More importantly, the light didn't have a retaining cable around the perimeter that you unscrew to remove the lens (and replace the bulb).

It had a very small phillips head screw near the electrical cord that is supposed to release vacuum and the lens should pop out. It didn't.

I'm at a loss how to remove the lens on this Full Moon pool light.

Unfortunately I have not come across this light in the field. Here’s the manual I believe which should help

I would caution you however that if you cannot get the light up to deck level, DO NOT, break the seal, or remove the relief screw and open it under water. You will have no way to evacuate the water from the housing. Your only option if the cord is not long enough would be to drop the water level below the light to work on it.

Following the thread to see if others have experience with it and in field advice.

Disconnect the light wire at the junction box and tie a pull cord onto the wire so you can pull the light up to the deck to work on it. Then you can pull the wire back to the junction box and reconnect it when you have replaced the bulb.

The manual recommends that the lens O-ring be replaced as a part of routine maintenance when the bulb is changed. Getting a water tight seal on the light without replacing the O ring may be a problem.
