Forgot to adjust pH before SLAM

Hey everyone,

So I opened my pool on Sunday, topped up the water, turned on the filter and added chlorine to get it up to SLAM level since it was a bit cloudy and there was some gross water that fell in off the cover.

I totally forgot to adjust the pH before boosting the FC. Should I let the FC drop, adjust the pH, then bring it back up? Or, just continue with the SLAM?

Since you just started the SLAM Process and I suspect your FC will drop rather quickly with dirty water, I'd let the FC fall to about 10 and knockout a quick pH test and adjust as necessary. That way if the SLAM takes a while, you have peace of mind.
