I am joining your ranks - have started my own pool service business.

My insurance agent tells me that the company I use for ALL OF MY INSURANCE doesn't have a classification for this type of service and can't give me a policy.

So I was just wondering what companies you use for insurance...

Really? Well, Congratulation and Welcome!!! You may want to look into joining a trade group in your locale. They usually have a group insurance plan that would entitle you to their discount rates. APSP is probably one of the largest national trade groups. I'm not sure who would be more local to Chicago.

I use Merchants for my vehicle needs and CNA for the business.

No advice regarding insurance, but best wishes, FPM! I've often thought of doing the same - probably would take a hit in pay, but I also think it would be quite therapeutic.
