First time opening - heater leaking water

Hi there,
This is my first opening of my pool after using a pool company for the past 5 years.
I've been able to get everything ready except for the pool heater - hayward H250.
Without preparing the heater, I tried running the pool pump and there is water flowing out of the heater onto the pad.
Im assuming there is a plug / value which needs to be opened so the water can flow through the heater and into the pool but I have no idea where to look. The jets do flow in the pool but obviously there is a gap somewhere in the heater where water is also flow out.
I've attached pictures of my piping through the heater.
There are square nuts in the water pipe leaving the heater - not sure if these must be turned.
Please advise.
Thanks so much.

There's a drain valve on the bottom of the black header under the back pipe.

If the water is not coming from the drain valve, it was probably not opened for winterizing and the heat exchanger is probably leaking due to freeze damage.

Listen to the top of the heater and have someone turn the pump off. If you hear air getting sucked in, the heat exchanger is probably leaking.

To close the loop, I was able to find and solve the problem.
The heaters water pressure switch had been removed for the winter and just needed to be reattached.
Pictures are attached if anyone encounters this problem.

Thanks for help with this.
