I had a bad two days at finding bleach usually suspects didn't pan out for 10% bleach for really stupid reasons. I don't even know how to use those stupid tabs LOL... I went to Walmart only to find the pool section put away for the season. WHAT!? WT? So I just went for regular bleach but the only thing in the section was Concentrated Outdoor Clorox. I reluctantly grabbed two gallons. After a heavy use holiday weekend my pool was drastically low so I put in a gallon and soon after bubbles in my waterfall.... Sigh.... I don't know what else is in this explitive removed... I almost went my first season of owning and managing a pool without a screw up. I am so explitive removed. I'd rather have to slam... Grrrrr. So I just got out of the pool and my eyes are a little irratated and shorts smell like clorox. I hadn't smelled bleach all year.

FC 6.6
PH 8.0 (added enough muratic acid to take to 7.6)
TA 70
CH 350
CYA 30
TEMP 85

Do I wait this out? Any advice appreciated.

Your CH is high so I guess Calcium hypo is not an answer. Any pool stores around you? Mine sells pure bleach 12.5% in big 5gallon containers. I have to get some too before they shut it down....trying to keep pool open and dosed until temperature drops to mid 60’s. Sorry for your bad experience! Next year will be better!

i do not think so that can created an issue. All we having similar accidents :)
You can get bleach from Homedepot or Lowes, just make sure of date...

This is where it started. I was driving all over town lol... Lowes register kept doubling the price and no one could fix it. Home Depot got rain on their crates and and they threw them out they could not ring the individually. Went to Leslie's and they don't carry liquid bleach as there is no demand. I honestly don't know how to use tablets. I at least got some reagents.

Walmart should have Great Value brand bleach. I can't remember if it's 6% or 8.25%, but it's carried year round.
Make sure you get the "cleaning bleach" the other one has recently added the polymer that Clorax has.

I didn't see it but I am sure it is there somewhere.

My local little hardware store carries 4 gallons of 10% but they were closed after 6. I should have waited till morning but live and learn. I'm cleaning them out today.

Next year I am adding intellichlor

thanks

Hi! That is so bizarre that you can’t source LC. I have 5 x 15 litre containers sitting in my laundry cupboard that I wish I could send you (overkill but they’re there for an emergency SLAM). It’s easy to buy LC pretty much anywhere here. Have you tried cleaning supply places? I bet they sell bulk LC. Definitely get yourself a SWCG for next season. Oh and btw I can’t even remember all my stuff ups so far. If you’ve just made one you’re doing well.

I googled Little Rock Pool Store and then Little Rich Chlorine bleach and there are several pool stores besides Leslie’s in the area, likely out of your way. Pool Contractors Supply, South Central Pool Supply and Townley Pool Supply—-I guess it depends on how desperate you are! I hope this helps you! Good luck!

Sigh Pool Contractor Supply won't sell to individuals and Townley doesn't carry it lol... Going back to Lowes to see if they fixed their computer entry for it.

Thank You
