Finally Had To Add CYA

When I first moved in 3 years ago, the CYA was about 110ppm. I immediately stopped using pucks or "bars" after learning here that they contained CYA. The level has been steadily dropping. Last year, I closed out the season with it at about 40ppm. This year, when I opened, it was below 20 somewhere. Using PoolMath, I've been slowly bringing it back up to the 40-ish range. Glad to have it under control finally.

Oh yeah, and I had bought a Taylor K-2006 test kit (refills from TFTestkits after learning about them) after the first time the local pool shop told me I needed $360 worth of chemicals to help get the pool swimmable and that it was ok to put pucks in the skimmer basket.
