After a bad algae opening, SLAMming, and daily testing, I finally got the water perfect! Then, the filter stopped working. It appears to be the capacitor since the impeller spins freely, so fingers-crossed. Trying to find the right capacitor locally is a challenge. I finally ordered online and should have it tomorrow. On the bright side, I am learning a lot about our pool equipment!

If it's not one thing it's another. :brickwall: Not sure if you know your FC level right now, but if you think it's low, you might consider adding a little liquid chlorine now and brushing it around really well just so that you "hopefully" avert another algae mess.

I dropped in LC, swished it around a bit, and put the solar cover back on (it is sunny today). It tests at about 3ppm. I'll have a look again later and add more, if necessary.

I got the capacitor today, and the filter is running perfectly! Yay! Water is a little green so I upped the chlorine to get 8ppm. Hoping I don't have to SLAM again. Combined Chlorine is .5 so I have fingers crossed. If I don't have improvement by tomorrow morning, I will definitely SLAM.
