Filter seam compromised awaiting replacement

The replacement is not coming until Monday. The leak is a small steady high pressure stream. Wondering what to do until them in order to maintain my water clarity. I have crystal clear water thanks to this forum and the TF-100. Should I run the filter as usual until monday? I run it from 0000hrs to 0800hrs nightly and then from 1400-1800 daily. My fear is it blows out in the middle of the night and things get worse. Thoughts, suggestion and comments welcome. THANKS.

Just add your daily chlorine the same except down 1 side of the pool.. then go behind it and brush the sides of the pool from the side you just poured down to the other side... go all the way around the pool brushing and you are good to go for 24 hours... You can raise your FC level to SLAM if you want just to make sure nothing happens for the week :)

Ahhh, missed that.. The best answer is to manual dose till the new filter gets there... I would probably let the one you have run and cross your fingers, but that is me.. You just have to keep on eye on things..

maybe put something like this around the base in case it blows up :)

We are the same!!! I have been crossing my fingers for the last day or so. My wife's favorite saying is "what's the worst thing that could happen." I am actually trying to come up with at way to catch the leak and return it into the pool!! I am thinking a nicely placed funnel and hose may do the trick!! I'll keep ya posted. Thanks for your time.

LOL, I like it...

wife: "what is that"

You: "well it catches the water as it spits out of the broken filter"

Wife: "um, ok, but why"

You: "Why not"

That is how my conversations go.... :laughblue:

Awe yeah no doubt. Haaaaaa. So I put the multi port valve in the recirculation position. Does this allow the SWG to keep working? I know it bypasses the filter. The leak has stopped because of that. I may keep it like that to keep the water moving.
