How often do you clean them? They say when pressure goes up 5 or more psi. My double filters start at 12 and when I’m at 18 psi I clean them and they are dirty, and yellow. It only takes 2 weeks for them to get like that. I heard 3 times a season or even 2 x a season to wash the filters.

You don't go by a specific number in general, you go by a 25% increase in pressure from your clean (baseline) pressure. How often you clean those cartridges depends on several factors unique to each pool such as amount of swimming, load of swimmers, weather, pollen, debris, oils, etc. I have a single cartridge and probably rinse mine off every 2-3 weeks in the heavy swimming season. Winter I may get by every 6-8 weeks or more.

That makes sense. When I was buying the Pentair filter system guy was saying you clean them once or twice a season. My pool service said the same. 2 x a season. This is my 2 Nd year doing the pool and I been doing it once a month - Sometimes 2 x a month. I like washing the filters every other time I vacuum.
