Figured why my water is dropping / Where should I get a new pump?

My pool water level has been dropping. Went outside and found this:

I tightened the band that connects the dry and wet parts and now the water is flowing instead of dripping. Guess its new pump time :'(

Any recommendations on where to get a 1.5 hp pump?

This pump is old as dirt. It screams when running and runs super hot. I think it is finally time.

My favorite places to buy pool stuff are INYO Pools and Sunplay. I would get a 2 speed pump so you can run it on low and use less than 1/4 he electricity as it uses on high. A Hayward Maxflo or Pentair Superflo are good pumps.

Not to take over the thread but that's a good point re two speed.
Mine is only a year old and runs 6-8 hours a day and my electric is killing me.
Thinking I should replace anyway.

I have a creepy crawly thing keeping the bottom clean. Would I just have it do the higher speed a few hours a day to kick that in? Or would i have to set it up every time I want to use it?

Basically I really don't want to create more work for myself.

Neither of those are dual speed, right? The variable speed pumps are just out of my price range.
