Fiberglass pool unlevel

Hi,

First, wanted to say thanks for all the great info and answers in this forum. As a newbie pool owner I found this forum really useful.

Wanted to get some advice on pool leveling. I just had a fiberglass pool from Leisure Pool installed by the company's install crews. The pool itself looks nice but the problem is it was left pretty unleveled. The deep end has 1.5" diff across just 15' which is pretty noticeable (attached photo). Other two corners are the same level as the shallow point. We didn't yet pour the concrete so I wanted to consult folks here first if anyone has any suggestion on how to fix it. Leisure Pool themselves are being really unresponsive - neither the installer or the sales folks (Luis Savastano) are returning my calls so it doesn't seem likely help will come from there...

Any thoughts / suggestions?

Welcome to TFP! As for the install .... unacceptable! Way out of manufacture's tolerance. Don't let the concrete crews install your coping until the installers make that right. Continue attempts to contact them as much as needed. Sorry for your trouble.

Just a quick update here - last night I reached out to a set of folks at Leisure Pools to see if anyone would be willing to help (CEO, CFO, Chief Sales Officer). Will let you know how that goes.

In the meanwhile, just a warning here to anyone who's thinking of doing an installation provided LP themselves - just don't. After posting, I've heard other stories that also didn't end well. The pool itself seems nice (though I'm hardly an expert) but boy are you looking at a painful process if you ask them to install it for you.

I won’t name the company and we never got to the point where we actually broke ground, but My wife and I tried to have a fiberglass pool installed at our old house. We had a small lot, but the salesman for the pool manufacturer/installer claimed the setback requirement in our county was 5ft and we had enough room to install the pool. He needed a down payment to start the paperwork and begin the installation. So we gave them a down payment of over $11K. When they went to get the permits from our county we learned that the setback requirements were way off from what the salesman claimed they were. They were 15ft and not 5ft. This meant we had no way to install a pool. What happened next is what might help you in dealing with your pool company. They basically didn’t have any ideas and weren’t being very communicative with us. They also refused to say if they were going to keep our money or not. So after a few weeks my wife starts hitting all their social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, ect..) hard about our experience with them. After only a few days they agreed to give us all of our money back if my wife removed all her posts. We wound up buying a house with a pool a month later and a month after that sold our old house (my wife doesn’t mess around…)

Thanks Orion for the tip. I'll keep that in mind for next step.

As for the June update - well, nothing really changed. The installer is stalling and I'm not sure if he even really plans to come. I'm continuing to ping Luis but it doesn't seem like he cares much either. I can't express enough how much I regret working with this company.

I hope it works out. It’s very stressful, I know.
