Fiberglass cleaning - Rubbing Compound

Hi! I’m new here, have had a pool for about 1 year.

I have a fiberglass pool with a natural gas heater and Pentair filter and pump. I had some cloudy residue on the fiberglass and was told to use 3M rubbing compound to clean it. The pool volume is about 50k liters.

My (stupid) question is - how will getting a small amount in the pool affect the water and the heater?

Zero issues. Might try polishing compound first. Rubbing compound is aggressive.
