We recently bought an above ground pool and we fell hook line and sinker for the Pristine Blue pitch. I normally research these type things, but in this case I did a little too late. We just started up our pool with the start-up so basically, we have added the Pristine check (32 oz), 2 lbs of the Pristine extra, and the actual Pristine Blue(32 oz). I want to convert immediately to chlorine. I have read everything I could find on here regarding this. I have tested the copper level with the test kit that was included in the start-up kit and it shows around .7ppm. PH is at 7.8, alkalinity is 110 and calcium is 50 (these levels I got from the pool store). Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Oh boy, a copper level of 0.7 huh? That is no bueno for sure. 
Levels over 0.3 tend to be problematic with water color changes, staining, and impacting swimmer's hair/nails. How do you feel about exchanging some water? That's really the best way to remedy the situation. You don't want to completely empty that pool because the liner and walls need the support, but you should be okay with about 50%. Then you could do another copper test to see if you're below the 0.3 ppm threshold. From there you should be okay. But at 0.7, I wouldn't be surprised if you saw staining and color changes fairly soon after adding chlorine - that is assuming that copper test result is accurate.
