Feature Suggestion - Permanent Notes

One feature that I would find helpful is having permanent notes stored in the app. These would be notes that wouldn't be on the timeline, but in another area so you don't lose them when you have dozens of entries in your timeline.

What I am thinking is notes for stuff like reminders on what to do when opening your pool or closing your pool. Or when you drain and refill your hot tub. I have a saltwater hot tub and I would like to have a note that says how much salt to add when I refill. I would prefer to have it in a consistent place rather than have to scroll through the timeline.

I just have a notebook (paper) for all things pool related. It has part numbers and serial numbers of pump, filter, etc. Notes for specific info as you suggest.

Sure, but that can get lost and isn't with you all the time, nor is it backed up to the cloud.

I could use a notebook to record my pool test results every day, but isn't PoolMath the better way to do that?

Note from my perspective as a lot of Notes are stuff that is more temporary. For example, I will put a Note when I drain and refill my spa and when I open and close my pool. But that is different than things that I want for permanent reference.

I'm not sure where one would put these notes then, perhaps except for a separate item in the side flyout menu. My first thought is that there already is a permanent notes feature and it's in the pool configuration. I can understand though that this isn't the most convenient/accessible area to get them from.

A couple thoughts for how this could work (please keep in mind it's not on my short list by any means to implement at this point as there's a few more higher priority items, and it would depend on how much demand there really is for such a feature):

1. Could make a "Notes" flyout menu item that just shows the notes field from the pool setup (and no longer shows it in the pool setup)
2. Note logs could have a "pinned" checkbox on them. When pinned, they are filterable in the timeline by that status, and/or a "Notes" flyout menu item could just show all the "pinned" note logs on that page.

The only other idea that comes to mind would be a "special notes" flag , which is similar to a pin but once flagged (a button such as "Add to Special notes. Note this note will not appear in your timeline but can be viewed by going to...", would appear at the bottom of the add note screen) these notes would appear in a completely separate view, such as going to the main nav menu and clicking "Special notes". You could toggle the flag on a note and it would simply return to your timeline and vice versa.

But I also like idea #2. Pinned items is a fairly common concept, such as in forums. They would always appear at the top of the timeline and as suggested you could toggle their display with a "Show Pinned Notes" button option in timeline view.

I'd still like to see a time search function first though.

Second this. In fact, user ideally should be able to filter by any factor. For example, show me only TA entries...
