Hey everyone and first off let me say thank you for all of the past threads and posts that have helped me understand the proper way to maintain my pool. With that being said I am seeing significant FC loss from morning until evening.
Right now these are my current numbers
FC 5
CC .5
PH 8
TA 100
CH 215
CYA 90
I have crystal clear water, I know my CYA is high but I’m trying to manage it until it comes down over time. I spent all last year and early part of this year with the tabs until I switched to liquid chlorine. CYA was at 110 and I did a partial drain.
I am following the guidelines for FC ( I use 10% liquid) in relation to my CYA, I have done the overnight test and have held my FC and CC is at .5. Overnight I got my FC up to 11.5, morning it tested at 11.5 and by 6 this evening the FC was 5. This same scenario plays out almost everyday. According to a number of posts I have read, that loss seems really high…….. am I missing something? Pool bakes in the sun from about 11am until 6/7pm. And swimming load is only my wife and I late in the day early evening.
Appreciate any insight and if I am missing something critical I would be grateful for the course correction.
