Happy summer! I put my pool up this past weekend and filled. Added 2 gals of chlorine. FC is 22, pH is above 8. Should I wait to lower pH til FC comes down to acceptable level, or do it now? Thanks. I forgot all I learned last summer

PH tests with phenol red are invalid at 10+ FC. So let it drift down, or use a PH meter.

Today FC 4, CYA 30, pH 8.0, temp 68. I used the calculator and added the advised chemicals.
Do i need to also always check the CC CH, and TA? i never did that last summer.

Check CCs at least every couple days when you check chlorine and pH. Once a month maybe for CYA, CH and TA. You could almost treat your pool as seasonal. Technically that's under 3k gallons though.
