Extremely high alkalinity after refilling pool

I just had a new liner installed in my pool. After refilling, I am having a heck of a time getting the alkalinity down. I have added about two gallons of muriatic acid over the course of a week and the reading is not budging. Should I keep adding acid slowly until the alkalinity levels off? I have attached my readings.

You should probably get a good test kit before dumping more chemicals in. Strips are guessing at best.
