I've been working about year to get my CYA and CH in check through partial water exchanges. My current CYA is 40 ppm rounded up from between 30 ppm and 40 ppm. Knowing the effort it took to complete this, I'd really prefer to keep the CYA on the low side, but I'm noticing how much liquid chlorine I'm going through on full sun days. My logs are up to date and I'm having to add 90 ounces of 10% liquid chlorine, which according to PoolMath effects of adding this equates to about 2.5 ppm of chlorine loss per day. Is this expected/reasonable? My pool is crystal clear, passes the OCLT, and has 0 ppm of CC so I'm confident it's not increased demand from algae.
