Enzymes and oils

When cleaning cartridges filters, it's often recommended to soak filters in TCP to remove oils.

Would circulating enzymes in the pool remove and breakdown oils innthe pool and on the csrtrdiges? Seems to be easier

I think it takes a lot of enzymes in a small amount of water to be effective. You will have a small amount of enzymes in a large amount of water and be ineffective.

I am skeptical that it will do much. But if you give it a try let us know how it turns out,

I am starting this thread and I know nothing about the subject! Over a period of time. I have seen varying opinions on enzymes as a cleaning agent for oils in pool water. I am pulling one of 1poolman1's post into this thread. He is a proponent and I would like some input from anyone...
