The photo is making the spots look like a muted brown but they are more of a dull yellow color in real life. Could this be algae? I haven’t had algae this color before. I have tried using the pool brush to rub it but it doesn’t seem to be budging. I took some chemical readings this morning before I noticed them. FC was 3 and CC 0. PH was 8.0 but that’s pretty typical… I’m always chasing a lower pH. Could a potential solution be to let some bleach “pool” in the area for a while? This is about 4 feet deep.

Really hard to tell from the pic. Maybe something from above settled, or perhaps something underneath bleeding through like rebar. Try rubbing the spots with a regular Vitamin C tablet to see if it's iron. If not, try rubbing the area with a chlorine puck to see if it's organic.

I will do that. Thank you!
